The One Thing Every Internet Business Must Have!
If there is one thing that an Internet business must have in order to sustain long term success, it is a list of subscribers that can you can stay in contact with and market to over and over again. If you are already working on building your list for your business, good for you. If you have not started yet then you need to consider dropping what you are doing now and move all of your focus to building your list.
The importance of list building cannot be over stated for making money online. Yes you might be able to make a quick buck here and there without a list but for the long term it is very important. Look at it this way, in an Internet business you only have two real assets, your web site and your list.
You have probably heard the saying that the money is in the list and the reality is, the money is the list. If you do a good job of list building you will have a business that will last for years to come. And with that list you will be able to make money regardless of the economy or the web site that you have or any other outside force.
The alternative to list building is direct marketing where you send all of your traffic directly to a web site or sales page in an effort to convert that traffic to sales for your business. That is fine but the reality of that is that most people require multiple exposures to an offer online before they reach for their credit card to make a purchase. If you are not capturing the names and emails of your prospects and visitors, you will likely lose them forever. The odds are that they will look at your offer and click away to continue looking for what ever they are looking for.
However, if you manage to get their contact information you can now continue to contact them through your auto responder and build a relationship of trust that will over time result in repeat sales that will keep your Internet business growing and money flowing into your bank account. Remember, list building is one of the most important things you can do for the long term profitability of your Internet business.
